1. Introduction
Welcome to Splitoo ("we", "us", or "our"). We are committed to protecting your personal information and your right to privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what rights you have in relation to it.
By using Splitoo, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.
2. Information We Collect
We collect only what is necessary to provide the service:
- Account information: display name, email address, and profile avatar provided during sign-in via OAuth2.
- Financial data: expense amounts, descriptions, currency, and group membership that you voluntarily enter.
- Settlement records: payments and balances recorded between group members.
- Device information: anonymous app diagnostics (crash logs) to improve stability.
We do not collect payment card details, bank account numbers, or any government-issued ID.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To create and manage your account and groups.
- To display expenses, balances, and settlement history to you and your group members.
- To send in-app notifications relevant to your groups.
- To improve app performance and fix bugs.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for advertising.
4. Data Sharing
Your expense and group data is shared only with the other members of the groups you create or join — this is core to the service. We do not share your data with any external parties beyond what is necessary to operate the app.
5. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us at the address below.
6. Security
All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Access tokens are short-lived (15 minutes) and stored securely using Android's encrypted DataStore. We take reasonable measures to protect your information, though no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
7. Children's Privacy
Splitoo is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

- Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Request deletion of your data.
- Object to or restrict our processing of your data.
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us.
